For Better or Better

Andrew and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary last week, thanks Mom, Christine, Gram and Aunt Joyce for the cards and well wishes.

My Mom was in town and thanks to her we were able to take a date night to a local restaurant. It was a great time as it always is when Andrew and I are together. The past six years have been the most amazing of my life. On March 5, 2005 I married the most amazing man. He is patient, kind, loving, and so very devoted to making me happy. He is the perfect balance to me and makes me smile on a daily basis. He respects me and loves me for who I am not what he wants me to be. He never fails to appreciate me and tell me how much I mean to him.

There seems to be almost an epidemic of husbands belittling or making fun of their wives in public, oh I get it it is all in good fun right? And then there are those couples that fight in front of you and call each other names...can you say uncomfortable? I don't get it honestly I don't get disrespecting someone you love, I don't get sending messages to your kids that treating others with disrespect and unkind words is okay.

Andrew and my marriage is not perfect, but it is perfect for us. We are so very very happy, he is my best friend and I adore spending time with him. He is the one I long to share my day with and the one I laugh with, he is the shoulder I rely on and the face I look forward to seeing every morning. I am truly amazingly blessed by such a wonderful husband!
